For over 30 years Architecture in the Netherlands has provided an indispensable overview of Dutch architecture for everyone with a professional or more general interest in the subject. The Yearbook is the international showcase for Dutch architecture. The three editors select special projects that have been completed in the preceding year and describe the most important developments that influence Dutch architecture, paying particular attention to new types of housing, the circular economy, the rediscovery of the periphery and the public role of architecture in times of privatization.
Besides the selection of most interesting completed architectural project in the Netherlands and two distinct essays, the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 edition include new infographic sections, a photo essay by Rubén Dario Kleimeer, and reestablished a year in review essay that documents the most important soft developments of the Dutch architecture community. Edition 2025-26 explored the role of AI and highlighted the most impressive figures we crossed paths with during our travels for Architecture in the Netherlands.
